Surinder Repairs My Vintage Necchi Sewing Machine

My black Necchi Nova BU is now running smoothly, thanks to Surinder Dutta of United Sewing Machine in Vancouver. The first zigzag machine ever in North America, this machine was made in Italy in the early 1950s. According to Surinder, it should run forever, with a little TLC.

  1. I’m so happy to hear this. I have my mother’s Necchi BU Nova and I haven’t touched it since she died in 1999. Now I’d like to start it up, but I before I do, I want some advice. Can we correspond?

    • By all means you should get that machine up and running again. Surinder was a great source of good advice for me, as I don’t have a manual, and for example, didn’t know where to oil the machine, etc. United Sewing Machine has all the answers for you. Are you in Vancouver?
