View from Nanoose

Being in Nanoose, the world has slowed down. Each day truly is entirely different. And I’ve been reading: The exquisitely structured and heartbreaking Kite Runner.

Then this morning finished the recently published: On the Road, the Original Scroll. My mind is running at the pace of the hipsters of the late 40s and 50s, somehow in harmony with everything else in the sky, the water, the garden.

Here I sit now at the Thirsty Camel in Nanaimo, fast internet and fresh felafel, but I haven’t quite landed yet. Doing a little work that needs this kind of fast connection, putting my mind to the task at hand, while I see all around me the poetry of life.
